The Society of 18th-Century Gentlemen is a loosely-structured club committed to researching, recreating and promoting the finer aspects of gentlemanly living in the Georgian era. To date, our activities have primarily focussed on fowling, angling, shooting and various types of gaming. Our lifestyle pursuits have included replicating the food and drink of the period, reading of 18th-century literature and even the occasional good-natured debate.

The Society offers an excellent opportunity to research and create or acquire a variety of fine clothing and accessories that may not be appropriate for many military or other 18th-century impressions. It also encourages a deeper appreciation for the cultural and scientific advances of the "Age of Enlightenment."

Anyone who is interested is welcome take part. Our current membership base stretches all across the United States and Canada. All that is required is an interest in the 18th century and a desire to research, learn and share information on the period.

The links above offer more information on our primary topics of interest, and the following links will offer you some basics in the Gentlemanly arts:

All of these pages and their links will change occasionally as our base of information grows, so check back regularly -- and please feel free to contact us and contribute!
